- Registration fee is CAD $130. This fee is non-refundable.
- Please state in the “Comments” field if you require letter of invitation for visa and/or grant requests.
- Please allow 7-10 business days to receive confirmation of your payment.
- Scholars registering from South Asia: please ensure that you have confirmed your travel funds before applying.

Online Payment
After submitting our form, you will need to make your payment via the Munk Centre portal.
Please follow the below instructions on how to pay via the above portal:
- When the above-referenced link opens in a new browser window, select “Click Here To Register”.
- If you do not have a Munk Centre account, select “New Users Click Here To Sign Up” and follow the instructions to sign up for a free account. If you already have an account, log in with your credentials under the “Returning User Log In” section. You can only make the payment via the portal if you have an account.
- Once you log into your account, you will be taken to the event’s “Confirm Registration” page. Select “Confirm and Pay” and follow the instructions to make your payment via a credit card. MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

Accomodations
We are listing a few accommodation options. You are, of course free to look for others on the internet or through personal contacts. These are only suggested options for you. The organizers do not take responsibility for the quality of the accommodations, the service provided, or communications with them.
The Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson, and Trinity College Residences are the closest to the conference venues. All three are holding a limited number of reserved rooms for conference attendees and the Holiday Inn and Howard Johnson are offering discounted rates for conference attendees. Trinity College Residences are student rooms and are the cheapest accommodation and are the closest to the conference site. Residence College Hotel is also a student style hotel. Wesley Manor Boutique and Madison Manor are bed and breakfasts. Best Western on Carlton is holding a limited number of rooms for conference attendees.

- Howard Johnson

Guests wishing to stay here can quote the confirmation number and that they are with the “Tamil Studies Conference”. This hotel is located in the Yorkville, with lots of restaurants, arts and clothing stores, and is a walking distance from the Royal Ontario Museum.

- Trinity College Residences

These rooms are adjacent to the conference sites. These are student rooms in Trinity College, University of Toronto. The rooms are comfortable but there is no attached bathroom. Women and men are normally resident on different floors but if you wish to share a double room as a couple please indicate this to them; Rates: Daily – $43.25 & Weekly – $151.50. If you are staying more than three (3) days, you should pay the weekly rate.
To make a reservation please complete the registration form and fax it to Trinity College.
- Residence College Hotel

There are no attached bathrooms, there is one male and female bathroom per floor. Each floor has 28 rooms. It is one block east of University Ave on Gerard, or one block west of Bay on Gerard. This is the hospital area of Toronto with several of the city’s major hospitals located nearby.They recommend that you call several weeks ahead of time for all inquiries.

Please note that in January this information and these options will be made available to those registering to attend the conference, therefore, if you are interested in getting the rooms with the concessionary rates, we would encourage you to do so before January.
Please also bear in mind that May is quite a busy season for the hotels in Toronto, so please make your reservations well ahead of time, particularly for the Bed and Breakfasts.
